The anime just keeps coming…. (X.x)

Rainbow Dash copy

So its been a few days since our last update and instead of making a week long rolling post, here’s a new one! I know very few people are reading this, but for our few loyal fans we are working (literally). If you’ve ever wondered about the life of Dash, its pretty crammed. I stay up pretty late, so I don’t get up until about 9:30 AM. From there its all gears go! Get ready, go to work, after work chit-chat, get home, work out, eat dinner.. and its 9:00 PM or later. From that point I start watching what has come out (or playing catch up or refresher) so I am very thankful for all the help and patience as we keep chugging along. Add on the fact that we have been working on a mascot character to make T-Shirts and Cosplay for Mechacon 2013 (in New Orleans), we have been booked.

With all of that said, there have been a few more previews added, but the banners are not all complete as well as a couple shows pop up that we have not planned on dividing. I should have the banners by tomorrow and will post up a new post (they should feel special).

Also many of you may have noticed several OVA’s being released over the past few weeks. Usually these are one or two episode specials that finally hit the subs when the DVD/BR bundles come out. Here’s a few you may want to check out…

Ratings for both Shorts and OVA’s will be (*).

In addition to all of the OVA’s, I believe you guys know we don’t do previews and reviews on shorts. Primarily I can’t stand watching three minutes and it end. Granted several of the shorts are really good. So much so, several of them are on their second seasons. You guys may also want to check them out (and several that finished from last season).

Finally I would like to give some Q&A to fill you guys on somethings that seem to be missing or shows that are airing and need a review/preview.

Q: I noticed some of your older review sections a pretty small, did you miss things?

A: I did start this back in the Fall of 2012. I didn’t have a lot of time on my own so I did what I could do. Also you’ll notice that we move shows that keep moving forward into a new section. Some shows never did get a review like “Project K” or “BTOOM”. The Fall 2012 section is a perfect example of the shows I kept up with and was able to create everything in a timely fashion. I think there are 8 reviews and 3 shows that continued into Winter.

Q: I also saw that Winter was never finished…

A: Same application. I did try to take on the full Winter Section with the help of Mason and Rini. We were able to make all the banner and get up the previews, however the final reviews collide with new previews and they got kicked to the side. I do plan on going back to them.

Q: Where are seasonal reviews on One Piece or Hunter x Hunter?

A: Some shows we never picked up due to sheer quantity or timing. Any show that is airing “large amounts of unending episodes” will probably never get a fair shot (One Piece – 604 Episodes). Storm is a big fan of Naruto: Shippuuden (320 Episodes) and I may be able to get him to post up a review to date one day. Fairy Tail (175 Episodes) for instance, I have watched (124) for the most part and really enjoy. I may do a Fairy Tail review one day when I get time. Other shows picked up and never caught my interest, I’d have to find someone who want to take on that task. Kingdoms 2 (Kingdoms has 36 Episodes) is a perfect example as HP is working on that one now. Other shows like Hunter x Hunter (88 Episodes), Space Brothers (65 Episodes), Folktales from Japan (67 Episodes), Saint Seiya Omega (63 Episodes) or Cardfight Vanguard (131 Episodes) I never picked up (out of interest) and have long since hit major episode counts beyond me wanting to take them up. All of these shows are still airing or planning on moving forward at some point.

Q: Ok, but why does it take so long for some reviews now that you have people?

A: Now… I have people helping us out. This was virtually a one man operation for a while. I also have to wait on fansubs or DVD releases with subs to catch the show. A few shows that a prefect examples of “delayed to subs” that I will try to get up in the coming two weeks are Dokidoki! Precure (24 – Onging), Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live (15 – Ongoing), and Aikatsu! (39 – Ongoing). Unlike the other shows above, these take a very long time (sometimes a whole season or two) to see the light of subs for me to catch them. Anime like “Tentai Opera Milky Holmes 2” may never be seen until DVD release, much like its first season run.

Q: Where is my K-On Review!?

A: We are more focused on the newest of new anime as it airs in Japan. Now that I have some other working with me, we can play catch up. I do hope to have a Cosplay and Older Anime section for you to flip through although figuring out how to manage it may be tough. Do I list and you click to another page… do I just sort it alphabetically… all of that would take time we currently do not have. I will try to get a K-On! one out since it was requested, yes we take them!

So I hoped you guys enjoyed a run down of somethings. I may move this over to the “About Us” in case the questions ever pop up. Anyway check back soon, still a few updates and final reviews to roll out!
